Method
How an engagement actually runs.
Engagements are led by a principal with direct client ownership — no pyramid, no leverage model, no junior team writing the deliverable. The five phases below apply across all three services; what changes is the artefact at the end of each.
Five phases
- 01
Position
Establish where the organisation actually sits on the AI maturity curve, rather than where its strategy claims it sits. This determines which service applies, and is frequently the moment a client discovers the engagement they requested is not the one they need.
- 02
Diagnose
Structured gap assessment against the relevant benchmark — the ISO/IEC 42001 clause set, international strategy practice, or declared national targets. Evidence-based, documented, and defensible to a third party.
- 03
Design
Build the instrument: the AI management system, the national strategy and its regulator, or the departmental execution plan. Drafted with your team, not delivered to them.
- 04
Enable
Documentation, training and capability transfer, so your people can operate what has been built without us. This phase is a deliberate hedge against the dependency most consultancies quietly create.
- 05
Sustain
Audit readiness, quarterly milestone review, and continuing advisory. The phase that determines whether the work survives contact with the next budget cycle.
What we need from you
Stated plainly, because engagements fail on these far more often than on methodology:
- An executive sponsor with budget authority and the standing to resolve inter-departmental conflict
- A named counterpart who can commit roughly one day a week for the duration
- Access to the systems and documentation we ask for, including the unflattering ones
- Willingness to have the diagnosis contradict the assumption that prompted the engagement
